The Four Chaplains Service is on Sunday, February 1, 2026 from 12pm to 1:30pm at Naurushaun Presbyterian Church, 41 Sickletown Rd. Pearl River, NY 10965. Come learn and remember the Four Chaplains, who died rescuing civilian and military personnel as the American troop ship SS Dorchester sank on February 3, 1943, in what has been referred to as the one of the worst sea disasters of World War II. Non-denominational ceremony. All are welcome. No registration is required.

On Saturday May 24, 2025, 7:45am, at Brick Church Cemetery (221 Brick Church Road, Spring Valley, NY 10977), local Scouts placed over 1,200 American Flags at veteran's graves.

The Friends of Daniel Carter Beard presented "An afternoon with Daniel Carter Beard" on October 6, 13, 20, and November 10, 2024 at the Historical Society of Rockland County. Thank you to all that attended.
A pilgrimage and wreath laying ceremony at Daniel Carter Beard's gravesite took place on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 1:30pm.
The gravesite is located at221 Brick Church Road, Spring Valley, NY 10977.
On Saturday May 25, 2024, 7:45am, at Brick Church Cemetery ,
local Scouts placed over 900 American Flags at veteran's graves.
On Saturday April 27, 2024, 9am to 12 noon, community and local scouts cleaned the park and paths at Brookland Park, Brookland Ave, Suffern NY 10901.
TFODCB exhibited "The Life of Daniel Carter Beard" at the Suffern Free Library from March 1, 2024, through April 30, 2024. The exhibit showcased key moments in DCB's life and his linkage to Suffern. Special presentations and speakers highlighted the exhibit.
TFODCB thank the Suffern Free Library and all the exhibit attendees for the help in continuing Uncle Dan's legacy.
On Thursday Marh 7, 2024 TFODCB hosted a great kickoff to the free exhibit of Daniel Carter Beard’s life at Suffern Free Library. Thank you to all who helped make it so successful.
The exhibit will run from March 1st to April 30th in the downstairs Meeting Room.
